WeatherRouting

Do these steps once, in this order.

1. Install

1. Double-click Install.
2. Windows may say it protected your PC. Click More info, then Run anyway.
3. A window says "WeatherRouting is installed". Press a key to close it. There is now a shortcut on your desktop to start WeatherRouting.

Install puts WeatherRouting in your own user folder: after that you can delete the unpacked folder and the zip.

2. Sign in

1. Start WeatherRouting (step 3) and open Settings › Relay account.
2. Type your mail address and press Send code.
3. Type the code from the mail. Your account must exist first: ask for one on the download page.

The relay keeps a record of what you download (which models, how much and roughly where), so Steef can see how the app is used, and keeps the messages you send.

3. Start WeatherRouting

1. Double-click Start WeatherRouting (on your desktop or in the folder).
2. Your browser opens WeatherRouting.
3. Keep the black window open. Close it to stop WeatherRouting.

First weather

Open the Areas tab, open an area and press Refresh. The first time this takes a few minutes.

A new version

1. Close WeatherRouting (close its window).
2. Unzip the new version, the same way as the first time.
3. In the new folder, double-click Install, then Start WeatherRouting.

Your boats, routes, calculations and sign-in stay where they are: an update only replaces the app. Then you can delete the unpacked folder.
